Antioxidants

Protective ingredients that help neutralize free radicals — unstable molecules from UV, pollution, and other environmental stressors that contribute to visible skin aging.

Work by donating electrons to unstable free radical molecules, preventing them from causing oxidative damage to skin cells, lipids, and structural proteins like collagen.

Free radicals are unstable molecules generated by UV radiation, air pollution, smoking, and other environmental exposures. When they react with skin cells, they can damage lipids, DNA, and structural proteins, contributing to visible signs of aging over time. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals before they cause harm. Different antioxidants target different types of free radicals — some focus on oxygen species (ROS), others on nitrogen (RNS) or carbon (RCS) species. Using a combination of antioxidants is generally considered most protective.

Apply antioxidant serums and moisturizers in both AM and PM for best protection. Especially important in the morning before SPF.
